The Strange Warning quest in Grounded 2 presents a critical challenge: you must fend off a wave of aggressive bugs sent by an unknown entity. This quest has specific fail conditions, but don't worry—failure doesn't mean the end of your adventure.
Failing the Quest
You can fail the Strange Warning quest in two primary ways:
- Dying to the enemy bugs: If you're overwhelmed and defeated by the incoming creatures, the quest will end in failure.
- Leaving the designated area: If you venture too far from the designated combat zone, the quest will also result in a failed attempt.
Retrying the Quest
The good news is that failing the Strange Warning quest allows you to try again. To re-attempt the quest, you'll need to wait for two in-game days.
Here's how the retry process works:
- Initial Contact: After a failed attempt, the mysterious stranger will re-establish contact with you after one in-game day. They'll notify you that another wave is imminent.
- Second Day Countdown: The actual new wave won't appear until another full day has passed, making it a total of two in-game days since your previous attempt.
- No Resting During Countdown: Once the stranger contacts you for a retry, a purple hourglass icon will appear on the upper right side of your screen. This icon indicates a countdown until the quest begins again. During this period, you will not be able to rest to fast-forward time. You'll need to pass the time naturally by exploring or performing other activities.
Prepare yourself for the next encounter, strategize your approach, and be ready to face the incoming threats!
