Where to Find Heatwave

The Heatwave is a unique staff that cannot be crafted. It is found hidden inside a giant head at the bottom of the Fire Pit, guarded by dangerous O.R.C. creatures.

Prerequisites

Before attempting to retrieve the Heatwave, you must come prepared. The Fire Pit is an extremely hazardous environment.

• Tier II Omni-Hammer: The staff is blocked by two large charcoal chunks that can only be destroyed with a Tier II Omni-Hammer. Ensure your hammer is upgraded before you venture out.
• Sizzle Protection: The constant heat of the area will quickly drain your health. The full Sizzling Armor Set is highly recommended.
• Healing Supplies: Bring a supply of healing items. Mintito Smoothies are crucial for temporarily slowing the Sizzle effect, and Bandages are essential for recovery.

Location Guide

Follow these steps to navigate the Fire Pit and claim your prize.

1. Head to the northern entrance of the Fire Pit. It appears as a small hole in the ground facing the large wooden barrier.
2. To enter, carefully jump down onto the melted green toy soldiers inside the hole. This will allow you to descend safely.
3. Once inside, you will immediately encounter O.R.C. Cockroach Nymphs. Eliminate them and proceed to the edge of the first stone platform.
4. Drop down from the platform to the lower level. An O.R.C. Bombardier Beetle and more nymphs will attack. Defeat them, then climb back onto the platform to heal and save your game.
5. From the platform, look down and to the right to spot a giant head partially buried in the ash. Your goal is to get inside it.
6. Carefully drop down and run past the giant head to attract the attention of the O.R.C. creatures guarding the area. Lure them back towards the stone platform to fight them in a safer spot. It is crucial to clear them out before proceeding.
7. After the area is clear, drink a Mintito Smoothie to gain resistance to the Sizzle effect. Run to the back of the giant head, near the neck area.
8. You will see two large, glowing charcoal blocks obstructing an opening. Use your Tier II Omni-Hammer to destroy them.
9. Crouch and enter the newly opened hole into the head. The Heatwave staff will be on the ground, just behind a collectible EverChar Coal Chunk.
10. Grab the staff, then turn back and exit the way you came. To escape the Fire Pit, run towards the wooden plank extending from the stone platform and use the large nail to climb out.

The Heatwave's unique Finale Warmth perk makes it an excellent finishing weapon, providing a temporary healing effect when you defeat a creature with it, which is invaluable for surviving tough encounters.
